Here is a way to think about the Friday report problem.
First, separate what changes each week from what never changes. Most weekly reports are 80% structure and 20% new content. Build the structure once — headings, standing sections, sign-off — and save it as a template you duplicate every Friday.
Second, capture as you go. Keep a running note during the week; two lines per day is enough. By Friday the report writes itself from your notes instead of from memory.
Third, timebox it. Thirty minutes, timer on. A report that ships at 90% every week beats a perfect one that eats your afternoon.
